Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Surgical Core Technician to support the operating room team with supplies, inventory management, and sterile processing. This full-time role involves preparing and delivering materials, maintaining storage areas, and ensuring packaging integrity for procedures at Mayo Clinic's Minnesota campuses.

No prior healthcare experience is required; paid on-the-job training is provided, with mentorship from experienced staff and opportunities for growth within perioperative

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills and interpersonal relation skills; able to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver supplies to operating room staff.
• Maintain inventory and organize storage areas.
• Inspect packaging integrity and track instruments and sterilization processes.
• Operate computer systems to track instruments and sterilization.
• Frequent lifting and carrying of 25 pounds or more.
• Assist in ensuring operating room staff have supplies needed for procedures.
