Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Surgical Core Technician to support the operating room team with supplies and instrument handling in a Minnesota setting. The role includes on-site training, hands-on mentorship, and a pathway to long-term employment with full benefits.

You will prepare supplies, manage inventory, track sterilization through computer systems, and assist in maintaining smooth surgical workflows. A high school diploma is required, with ability to lift 25 pounds and work full-time shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and use a full range of body motion throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift and/or move more than 25 pounds.
• Must be able to use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver supplies to operating room staff.
• Maintain inventory and organize storage areas.
• Inspects packaging integrity.
• Use computer systems to track instruments and sterilization processes.
• Dusting and outdating of supplies.
• Frequently lift and carry 25 pounds or more.
• Plan and assess priorities to maintain flow of surgical cases.
