Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Surgical Coordinator in New Jersey to coordinate all aspects of tests, procedures and surgeries. You will work closely with clinical teams to ensure smooth scheduling, accurate documentation, and patient communication.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience; HIPAA knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment are essential. CPR certification is preferred.

The Surgical Coordiniator are responsible for coordination of all aspects of tests, procedures and surgeries.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs plus two years of related experience

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills required

• The ability to learn quickly and adapt in a changing environment

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• 2 years of progressive experience in a medical office is preferred

• Proficient in medical terminology and HIPAA guidelines

• Surgical coding knowledge (CPT and ICD-10) preferred

• CPR certification is preferred

Minimum rate of $20.64 Hourly
