Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Surgical Coordinator to coordinate all aspects of tests, procedures and surgeries in our hospital setting, ensuring smooth patient flow and adherence to policies.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience, plus strong interpersonal skills and the ability to learn quickly in a changing environment. HIPAA familiarity and medical terminology are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, and/or GED equivalent programs plus two years of related experience.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills required.
• The ability to learn quickly and adapt in a changing environment.
• 2 years of progressive experience in a medical office is preferred.
• Proficient in medical terminology and HIPAA guidelines.
• Surgical coding knowledge (CPT and ICD-10) preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
