Job summary

UCHealth Longs Peak ASC in Longmont, CO is seeking a Surgery Scheduling Coordinator to manage inpatient and outpatient surgical appointments, coordinating with physicians and health‑care teams to ensure facility, surgeon, staff and equipment readiness.

You will communicate pre‑procedure instructions to patients and families, verify insurance, and obtain pre‑authorizations as needed in a fast-paced onsite setting.

Shift:Days

Pay:$20.87 - $27.13 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary:
Coordinates all aspects of surgery scheduling.

Responsibilities:

• Schedules inpatient and outpatient surgical appointment times using computerized scheduling programs.
• Coordinates with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure availability of facilities, surgeon, staff and equipment.
• Communicates with patients and/or their families to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and to confirm appointments.
• Performs insurance verification and/or pre-authorizations as necessary.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
