Job summary

UCHealth in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a full-time Patient Scheduling/Registration Clerk in the PVH Radiation Oncology department. The role is onsite at Harmony Campus, with a standard Days shift and a pay range of $20.26–$26.34 per hour, depending on experience.

The position is full-time (80 hours per pay period) with opportunities for career growth, benefits, and a focus on patient demographics and insurance coordination. Onsite role only, with no hybrid or remote option.

Summary

Responsibilities

• Schedules specialized appointments, follow-up appointments, and assigns appropriate length of visit per physician request.
• Reviews pre-visit guidelines with to patients regarding how to prepare for the appointment, what to bring, time of appointment and location. Registers patients for medical care including laboratory, outpatient services, physician or other medical office. Pre-registers patients when needed.
• Collects and confirms complete patient demographics, current employer, emergency contact information, insurance and case-specific information such as referring physician. Explains and requests patients to sign consent and release forms as required.
• Verifies insurance eligibility for governmental insurance payors (i.e. Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare, etc.). May complete Medicare Secondary Payor Questionnaire for all Medicare eligible patients. Reviews patient accounts for outstanding balances and forwards to Accounting.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Healthcare experience preferred
