Job summary

Sarasota Memorial is seeking a Remote/PRN Central Billing Office coder to identify and apply ICD-10 diagnostic and CPT procedure codes for claims processing. The role supports data retrieval and analysis of patient health information for accurate billing.

The position requires CPT/ICD coding experience in a physician office and CPC/CCS-P/CGSC certification or the plan to obtain it within one year. Onsite onboarding may be required in Florida, with a flexible 20 hours per week schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in a physician office.
• Minimum one year of CPT and ICD physician coding experience.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or CCS-P, or CGSC, or certify within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and apply accurate ICD-10 diagnostic and CPT procedure codes for claims processing and data retrieval.
• Enter insurance benefits, authorizations and other activities to ensure complete claims.
• Support patient financial activities with timely and accurate coding and documentation.
