Job summary

ELM is seeking an ASC Administrator to oversee administrative requirements of the ambulatory surgery center, working closely with the Medical Director, Governing Body, and Clinical Director to meet facility goals and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes efficiency, quality improvement, infection control, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to enhance patient experience and facility operations.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent time management skills and solid eClinical Works experience.
• Associate’s Degree in Medical Office Administration required.
• Certified Administrator Surgery Center Certification preferred; background checks and health screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor adherence to policies and procedures to ensure care quality and compliance.
• Monitor staffing levels, staff activities, and meetings; adjust staffing as needed.
• Maintain accreditation with AAAHC and state/federal requirements through administrative tasks.
• Respond to regulatory, legal, and executive inquiries.
• Assist in CQI and infection control program development and promotion.
• Ensure staff are trained in current infection prevention policies.
• Lead or support ASC Quality Improvement, Risk Management, and Governance activities.
• Manage equipment and supplies within budgets and purchasing plans.
• Respect physician preferences and ensure adherence in operations.
• Collect data for special projects.
• Order and maintain medical and clerical supplies.
• Monitor patient, physician, and visitor flow for efficiency.
• Maintain credentialing for providers and anesthesia; ensure compliance.
• Report significant information to Medical Director and Governing Board.
• Investigate and resolve complaints; document actions.
• Process purchase orders; review accounts receivable and payor contracts.
• Understand fee schedules, contractual adjustments, and collections.
