Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hospital experience required.
• Related experience preferred.
• Completion of on-the-job training required.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination, basic computer skills required, effective communication skills to read, write, speak and understand English as required and good customer relation skills.
• Ability to work within time schedules.
• Ability to use effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergent situations.
• Ability to use effective, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Attentive to details and the ability to perform work accurately, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.

Responsibilities

• Builds complete and accurate case carts for surgical procedures.
• Assists in maintaining adequate inventory supplies.
• Runs OR schedule co-ordination for the next day.
• Functions as a resource person for OR staff in regards to sterile supplies.
