Job summary

St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado is looking for a Case Cart Specialist to support the perioperative services by managing and coordinating supplies and instrumentation for surgical procedures.

You will liaise between the Operating Room, Sterile Processing, and Supply Chain to ensure instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and stored properly. Daily duties include preparing case supplies, maintaining aseptic technique, and ensuring resources are ready for surgical teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One (1) year of experience in a surgical and/or sterile processing setting is required.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and supplies for procedures with knowledge of aseptic technique.
• Responsible for room turnovers, case cart distribution and transport, and instrument setup needs for the operating room surgical cases.
• Gathers and assembles instruments and equipment for scheduled procedures, ensuring proper instruments have been picked for the cases.
• Obtains additional/missing items needed to prevent delays, and assists in arranging and tracking borrowed or loaned instrumentation/equipment.
• Uses physician preference cards to identify supplies and equipment needed for procedures and updates cards with changes.
• Reviews scheduled procedures, anticipates needs, and coordinates with department leadership and the Circulator.
