Job summary

St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado, is seeking a Critical Care Tech to support patient care alongside RNs and physicians.

You will facilitate communications within the healthcare team to meet physical and emotional patient needs, stock supplies, and assist with medical records and daily tasks. The role requires EMT/IV therapy certifications or related certifications, with a preference for 1 year of healthcare experience in acute care settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EMT certificate and IV therapy certificate (or EMTA/EMTI/Paramedic) required.
• Preferred: 1 year healthcare experience (prehospital, ED and/or patient care).

Responsibilities

• Communicates with RN/Physician regarding patient observations to assist in treatment.
• Performs technical tasks (IV insertion, splinting, wound care) as directed by RN/physician.
• Provide person-centered care with empathy and collaborate with the care team.
• Accurately documents all tasks and observations in patient records.
• Demonstrates clinical strategies to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Collaborates with medicine, nursing, and other professionals on plan of care and follow-up.
