Job summary

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses to join a learning, growing team on the 2100 Inpatient Unit, which covers Orthopedic, Spine, Urology, and Plastic Surgery and aims for a safe discharge home.

The role features 3/12 hour evening shifts (3P-11:30P), every 4th weekend, and one summer and one winter holiday. Bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma/Associate's and RN licensure are required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance; engages in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and communicates care plans with the interprofessional team and family across the continuum of care.
• Acknowledges safety-sensitive nature of the role and the need for constant alertness.
