Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Minneapolis is seeking a Perioperative Aide to support bedside and OR teams before and after procedures. You will assist with hygiene, feeding, mobility, and activities of daily living under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

• BLS/CPR certification required within three months of hire.
• One+ year of clinical experience in an accredited hospital or surgical center.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and documents vital signs and admission information in the electronic health record.
• Transports patients within the department and at discharge.
• Builds Case Carts for surgical/procedural cases in the Sterile Core.
• Assists the Inventory Specialist with maintaining appropriate Par Levels for supplies.
• Assists OR Team Leads with obtaining instrumentation for upcoming cases.
• Restocks supplies/instruments not needed for procedures.
• Monitors daily schedule for changes and added cases.
• Assists Circulators by bringing supplies/instruments to the requested location.
• Makes hourly clinic runs to pick-up contaminated instruments/equipment and deliver clean/sterile instruments/equipment.
• Assists surgical team to ensure OR/Procedure room is ready for the patient’s procedure.
