Job summary

Citizens Medical Center in Victoria, TX is seeking a Surgical Attendant to cover Evening shifts with rotating call. You will help maintain the cleanliness of the operating room suite, transport patients, and deliver or retrieve materials and specimens in support of surgical teams.

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the operating room suite, transporting patients, and delivery / retrieval of materials and/or specimens as needed. Applies age-specific needs when transporting patients.Must take call on a rotating basis.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Specific:

• Responsible for the cleanliness of the operating room suite (EF).
• Collects and transports trash and dirty linen to the proper receptacles (EF).
• Transports patients (EF).
• Delivers / retrieves supplies, materials, equipment, and/or specimens (EF).
• Cleans and prepares the operating rooms between surgical cases (EF).
• Assists with patient care as requested (EF).
• Assists with the orientation of new employees (EF).
• Participates in the safety management and infection control programs (EF).

Hospital:

• Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures.
• Day-to-day performance complies with the hospital’s Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations.
• Performs within the prescribed limits of the hospital’s Ethics, Compliance and Confidentiality Program guidelines.
• Performs within professional Scope of Practice at all times
