Mountain State Oral & Facial Surgery seeks a team-oriented individual to provide support to doctors and assistants, ensuring timely patient discharge and smooth clinical operations. Responsibilities include prepping recovery supplies, assisting during surgeries, and handling post-op calls with a focus on confidentiality and patient care.

The role emphasizes excellent communication, organization, and professionalism in a busy outpatient setting with strict safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate in dental assisting and/or surgical assisting preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Must be detail-oriented.
• Must maintain professionalism at all times.
• Must maintain training/continuing education requirements.
• Ability to function in fast paced and/or stressful work environment.
• Must adhere to company policies and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to doctors and assistants in a timely manner and assist with discharge of patients.
• Stock ice packs and prepare recovery room supplies.
• Prepare gauze and syringe packs for patients.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining operatory rooms between patients and setup for upcoming surgeries.
• Assist with local anesthesia surgeries if trained; help with production of surgical trays.
• Handle post-op patient callbacks and communicate concerns to the team.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and participate in everyday clinic operations.
• Support front office tasks when work is finished and ensure patient flow.
