Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• Graduate of a formal Surgical Assistant program.
• CSFA/CSA/SA-C certification within one year of hire or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with critical procedures and tasks with the surgical team.
• Anticipate needs of the surgeon and team during procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and infection control standards.
• Prepare for procedures by performing safety checks and equipment readiness.
• Support the surgeon by handling tissue, hemostasis, and instrumentation.
• Maintain patient safety and assist with resuscitation as needed.
