Job summary

Riverside Dental is hiring a Surgical Dental Assistant to join a patient-centered team delivering high-quality care. You will support operatory setup, patient prep, imaging, and lab coordination, ensuring comfort and safety throughout procedures.

The role requires two years of surgical assisting experience, accreditation in Dental Assisting, and CPR/BLS/First Aid certification to contribute to our clinical excellence and patient-focused culture.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited Dental Assisting program.
  • Two years of Surgical Assisting experience required.
  • Prosthodontics experience including bone grafting & implants.
  • CPR, BLS, & First Aid Certification.
  • Familiarity with standard surgical office equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare operatories for set-up, decontamination, sterilization, cleaning, restocking.
  • Provides positive customer service to patients by escorting, communicating, and prepping them for care by doctor.
  • Review history and progress of treatment plans with patients.
  • Monitor oxygen & IV sedation as needed, take blood pressure.
  • Takes X-Rays, impressions, pours & prepares study models, coordinates lab cases.
  • Records treatment information on patient’s charts, schedules appointments, and provides follow up and post op direction and instructions to patients.
