Job summary

North Coast Surgery Center in Independence, OH is seeking a Certified Surgical Assistant to assist surgeons in the operating room, maintain sterile technique, and support patient safety throughout procedures.

The role requires a NSAA-approved program, OH licensure as a Registered Surgical Assistant (NST), CPR, and 1–3 years of experience. You will be part of a team delivering high-quality operative care in licensed hospitals or ambulatory centers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and NSAA-approved program completion.
• Maintains required continuing education per professional association.
• Current OH Licensure as Registered Surgical Assistant (NST); CPR; BLS.

Responsibilities

• Determine equipment needed for procedures.
• Assist in moving and positioning of patient; ensure patient safety.
• Anticipate needs of surgeon and team; confirm procedures with surgeon.
• Prepare grafts, drapes, and wound dressings as directed.
• Assist in laparoscopic procedures; maintain aseptic technique.
• Gown and glove self; assist with CPR during emergencies.
• May take-call after hours to assist in urgent procedures.
