Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; training beyond may be through work experience or education.
• 1-2 years of previous job-related experience required.
• CPR-Basic Life Support required; Certified Surgical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon during operations under direct supervision.
• Position the patient, prepare the skin, and visualize the operative site.
• Assist with hemostasis, closure of body planes, and application of dressings/splints.
