Southwest General in Middleburg Heights, OH seeks a Surgical Assistant to support the surgeon in the operating room under direct supervision. The SA will apply knowledge of surgical anatomy, sterile technique, and pre-op/post-op responsibilities to assist during procedures.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited surgical assisting program or being an International Medical Graduate, and at least three years of SA experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Surgical Assisting or International Medical Graduate.
• Three (3) years previous experience as a Surgical Assistant (SA).

Responsabilités

• The Surgeon's Assistant works under the direct supervision of the surgeon.
• Maintains clinical competence in the pre-op assessment and intraoperative proficient as a First Assistant.
• He/She is responsible for patient prep and operation during the surgical procedure.
