• 2 years college or specialty school in surgical assisting.
• 4 years general experience with 2 years in any specialty area preferred.
• Certified by NSAA, CFA in the AST, AA-C in the AAPA, or CRNFA in the ONA within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon during procedures and identify anatomy.
• Position patient and ensure exposure and safety.
• Maintain sterile technique and manage hemostasis.
• Communicate plans with team and document incidents.
• Assist with wound closure and dressings.
