Merrifield Oral Surgery in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Surgical Assistant I to join our busy practice. You will support the surgeon during consultations and treatment, perform pre-op set-ups, assist with anesthesia support, take vital signs and help with charting and scheduling.

Our team emphasizes patient care, organization and clear communication. On-site role with Monday to Friday schedule, 7:45am - 4:15pm, with competitive benefits including health, life and vision insurance and a 401(k)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Dental X-ray license (Pano, PA, CBCT) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Surgeon during consultations and treatment.
• Autoclave operation and function.
• Surgical tray set-up.
• Room set up/break down for IV anesthesia and surgery.
• Seat patient and perform pre-op set-up.
• Review charts.
• Greet patients and make them feel comfortable.
