Shift Schedule: PRN

Harbour View Medical Center is Bon Secours’ new, surgically focused hospital, set to open in early 2025. The facility will include 18 medical/surgical beds and up to four operating rooms. The 98,000-square-foot hospital will adjoin the existing Bon Secours Health Center at Harbour View campus, which includes an emergency department, outpatient imaging, outpatient lab services, an ambulatory surgery center, and physician practices.

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The team member functions as an assistant during procedures, under the supervision of the MD, and performs duties including but not limited to providing exposure, assisting with hemostasis, skin closure, and other technical tasks. The team member also supports the department and hospital's mission and goals through various duties.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Two (2) years of experience and/or completion of a Surgical Assistant program
• Current CPR certification
• Registration with the Virginia Board of Medicine and/or military-trained or certified
• Registration with the Virginia Board of Medicine is required for new employees certified or trained in the military
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
