A leading healthcare network is seeking a Surgical Assistant to join its new surgically focused hospital. In this role, you will assist during procedures, providing critical support under supervision to ensure patient care is prioritized. Harbour View Medical Center is Bon Secours’ new, surgically focused hospital, set to open in early 2025. The facility will include 18 medical/surgical beds and up to four operating rooms. The 98,000-square-foot hospital will adjoin the existing Bon Secours Health Center at Harbour View campus, which includes an emergency department, outpatient imaging, outpatient lab services, an ambulatory surgery center, and physician practices.
Position Summary:
Responsible for providing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The team member functions as an assistant during procedures, under the supervision of the MD, performing duties such as providing exposure, assisting with hemostasis, skin closure, and other technical tasks. The team member also supports the mission and goals of the department and hospital through various other duties.
