Iowa Dental Implants and Oral Surgery in West Des Moines, IA is seeking an Oral Surgeon Surgical Assistant to support surgeons during procedures, perform preoperative tasks, maintain sterile environments, and document patient care. You will assist with radiographs and patient narratives in a fast-paced, in-office setting.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, able to work well in a team, possess strong manual dexterity, and maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 1 month.
• Strong teamwork and independent work capabilities with good judgment.
• Detail-oriented with emphasis on safety and patient care.
• Basic computer proficiency and radiographic documentation.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification (or completed within 1 month of hire)
• Strong teamwork and independent work capabilities, demonstrating good judgment and critical thinking.
• Passion for ensuring safety and exceptional attention to detail, vigilance, and meticulousness.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Excellent manual dexterity and superior listening skills, especially in emergency scenarios.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous oral surgery experience is beneficial.
• DAANCE certification is desirable.
• Licensed dental assistant status is preferred.
• Radiology certification is a plus.
