Job summary

Allied OMS in Napa/Sonoma, CA, is seeking a motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join a busy specialty office. The role involves assisting in surgical procedures, sterilization, patient monitoring, and supporting doctors.

We value teamwork, punctuality, and attention to detail; prior dental assisting experience and valid California licenses are required, with willingness to train the right candidate. On-site position with 40 hours weekly and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Current RDA license and valid California X-ray license.
• Current BLS certification and strong attention to detail.
• Punctual, reliable, friendly with patients and staff.
• Ability to commute to Napa and Sonoma locations and work 40 hours/week.
• Minimum of 1 year dental assisting experience; willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in surgical procedures, both local and IV sedation.
• Sterilization and tray set-ups.
• Taking and monitoring vital signs and patient recovery.
• Knowledge of medical emergency protocol.
• Assisting in consultations and post-ops.
• Lab and 3D printing work.
• Organizing and restocking supplies and rooms as needed.
• Other duties as needed shared amongst the assistants.

We Are Seeking Candidates With The Following Qualifications

• Current RDA license
• Valid California X-ray license
• Current BLS certification
• Takes pride in attention to detail
• Punctual and reliable on a daily basis
• Friendly and outgoing personality, with both patients and fellow staff
• Ability to commute and work in both Napa and Sonoma locations
• Minimum of 1 year dental assisting experience

Qualifications Not Necessary But a Plus

• Previous oral surgery experience
• OMSA certificate
• Dental Anesthesia Assistant Permit (through Dental Board of CA)
• Emergency procedures - identification and treatment
• Familiar with dental/oral surgery software - DSN preferred
• Computer savvy, able to type 35 wpm
• Ability to read, speak, and write Spanish fluently and clearly

Hours

We are looking for someone who can work 40 hours per week, but may need to work overtime occasionally due to the nature of our business. This could be a great opportunity for a dedicated, motivated and ambitious individual who is eager to learn and is a self-starter.

Salary Description

$28.00 - $35.00/ Hour
