Job summary

Allied OMS NEWCO LLC in Fredericksburg, TX is seeking a dedicated Surgical Assistant to support our oral surgeons throughout the surgical process. You will assist in local and IV sedation procedures, manage sterilization, and help ensure patient comfort and safety.

The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of dental assisting experience, a valid X-ray license, and BLS certification, with strong attention to detail and reliable daily performance.

Position Summary

We seek a dedicated and detail-oriented Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic team at Oral Surgery of Fredericksburg. In this role, you will support our oral surgeons critically, ensuring efficient workflow and delivering exceptional patient care throughout the surgical process. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient comfort and safety, with strong technical skills and a collaborative spirit.

Requirements

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Valid X-ray license
• Current BLS certification

Qualifications not necessary but a plus:

• Previous oral surgery experience
• OMSA certificate
• Dental Anesthesia Assistant Permit (through Dental Board of CA)
• Emergency procedures - identification and treatment
• Familiar with dental/oral surgery software - DSN preferred
• Computer savvy, able to type 35 wpm
• Ability to read, speak, and write Spanish fluently and clearly
