Qualifications

• NPs: Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner specialty certification in Michigan.
• NPs: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification.
• NPs: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• NPs: NCSBN certification.
• BLs and ACLS credentials.
• DEA registration and state controlled substance license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat adult complex surgical patients in observation status.
• Provide pre/post-operative care coordination.
• Order treatments, medications and diagnostic studies.
• Discharge planning and patient education.
• Collaborate with surgeons and care team in rounds and handoffs.
