AdventHealth in Winter Park, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support sterile processing and the surgical team. The role involves handling supplies, assisting with case turnover, and ensuring patient safety during transfers and procedures.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, BLS certification, and some hospital experience. The position offers a day shift with on-call requirements and benefits starting from day one.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv (Preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• PCT experience or hospital setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures appropriate disposition of supplies, labs, and specimens, and participates in hand-off communication and verification processes.
• Assists with turnover of surgical cases, following cleaning protocols for specialty equipment.
• Functions as a limb holder at sterile field under medical direction; maintains knowledge of instrumentation and supplies for accurate case prep.
• Ensures safe transport, transfer, and positioning of patients with privacy and dignity.
• Prepares patients for procedures and communicates pertinent information to the team.
