UT Tyler School of Medicine is seeking a Full Time Trauma Physician to join the expanding team at UT Health East Texas hospitals and clinics.
UT Health East Texas comprises 10 hospitals, over 90 clinics, regional rehabilitation facilities, emergency centers, home health services across 41 counties, an EMS fleet, and a regional trauma network including a Level 1 trauma center. In 2024, six Urgent Care clinics were added. The team includes nearly 400 providers and over 7,000 staff members.
As a partner with the University of Texas System, UT Health East Texas offers access to cutting-edge research and clinical therapies, along with training and education for future healthcare providers. Graduate Medical Education includes Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Occupational Medicine, and Psychiatry residencies, along with medical students in partnership with UT Tyler.
The first medical school in East Texas, the UT Tyler School of Medicine aims to train healthcare professionals to serve rural and underserved communities. It offers 20 residency and fellowship programs in various specialties and a Master of Biotechnology program focused on medical research and biotech innovation. A new Medical Education Building is under construction, scheduled for completion in fall 2025, to support interdisciplinary education and expansion of medical training in the region.
