Job description

Cardiothoracic Surgeon opportunity in Ocala, Florida

Located 80 miles from Orlando, FL

Position Details:

• Inpatient/Outpatient
• Employed
• Existing practice
• Work with an experienced team of providers - 1 other cardiothoracic surgeon and 3 APPs experienced in endo vein harvesting
• CVICU, two heart surgery rooms, strong perfusion, dedicated hybrid-OR, and dedicated EP and Cath services
• Three cardiac anesthesiologists with dedicated service
• Practice currently performs coronary revascularization, valve repair and replacements as well as broad-based thoracic surgery. Several advanced cardiothoracic surgical programs, including TAVR, minimally invasive cardiac and robotic thoracic surgery, as well as aortic surgery and ECMO.
• The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
• Experience and comfort level with aortic disease, valve repair and replacement, including open and endovascular aortic procedures
• Experience with TAVR
• Minimally invasive lung surgery
• Knowledge and experience with advanced technologies to reduce the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively within a growing program's team
• The interdisciplinary team includes cardiologists, anesthesiologists, surgical, RN, and Critical Care staff, aiming for high-quality outcomes.
• Experience is required
• Board certified / board eligible in cardiothoracic surgery
