Position Overview:A BC/BE Thoracic Surgeon is sought to help establish and grow a comprehensive General Thoracic Surgery Program to meet increasing demand. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and experienced surgeon to take a leadership role, with potential for a Medical Director position for the right candidate.
Key Highlights:Full-spectrum General Thoracic Surgery (benign & malignant, excluding transplant)
Well-equipped with a DaVinci Xi robot, 18 pulmonary/critical care physicians, and a Multi-Disciplinary Tumor Board
Established referral network within the health system and community partners
Dedicated APP support and consultative hospital service
EPIC EMR system
Setting: Inpatient, outpatient, and clinic-based practice
Schedule: Monday Friday with weekend call rotation
Case Mix: Surgical cases & outpatient visits
Goal: Building a thoracic program to meet unmet demand and community growth
Trauma Level: Level II
Experienced providers preferred (new fellowship graduates considered on a case-by-case basis must be BE within 2 years)
Strong vision and excitement to develop a thoracic program
Committed to providing patient-centered, team-based care
Not open to locum, 1099, or visa candidates
Candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance (1 hour or less)
Not open to candidates with lapsed board certification
Competitive salary based on experience (to be discussed at interview)
