EvergreenHealth is a two-hospital healthcare system serving the north King and south Snohomish counties. We seek an experienced Surgery Tech (Scrub Tech) for the Family Maternity Center OR team.

The role focuses on procedural care, instrument preparation, aseptic technique and patient safety within a busy operating room. The position requires WA-licensed Surgical Technologist status, High School diploma, and BLS certification; two+ years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Registered as a Surgical Technologist in Washington.
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.

• Prepares rooms with instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Maintains aseptic technique at all times.
• Participates in presurgical safety pause and patient safety activities.
• Performs all counts as defined by OR policies.
• Keeps instrument table sterile and organized.
• Passes instruments to surgeon and assistants.
• Stays alert and handles unexpected situations calmly.
• Prepares and handles medications on sterile field under RN supervision.
• Handles records, labels and specimens per policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Wage Range: $32.36 - $54.01 per hour

Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. We are searching for an experienced Surgery Tech (Scrub Tech) to join our Family MaternityCenter OR team!The Surgery Tech works as a member of the patient care team focusing on the procedural care needs.

Primary Duties

1. Prepares rooms with appropriate instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment for each surgical procedure as outlined in the policy and procedure manual.
2. Demonstrates close attention to detail regarding aseptic technique at all times.
3. Participates in patient safety activities including presurgical pause
4. Performs all counts as defined in the OR policies and procedures measured by documentation on the OR record.
5. Maintains an orderly and sterile instrument table and/or Mayo stand.
6. Consistently passes necessary instruments to surgeon and surgical assistant(s).
7. Remains alert and demonstrate an ability to handle unexpected situations with calm efficiency.
8. Prepares and handles medications on the sterile field under the direct observation of a registered nurse.
9. Handles records, labels, and specimens according to established policy and procedure.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience

REQUIRED for the position:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Must be registered as a Surgical Technologist within the State of Washington.
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.

DESIRED for the position:

• 2+ years of Surgical Tech experience
