Job Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduling functions in a high-volume physician practice.
  • Act as a professional liaison for staff, hospital personnel, medical staff, and physicians’ offices.
  • Maintain knowledge of all clinical service lines for operating rooms at Northside surgical locations and affiliated outpatient surgery centers.
  • Utilize typing skills and experience with computerized documentation systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service and problem-solving support.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field, OR five (5) years of medical-related clerical experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organization and communication abilities.
  • Ability to plan effectively, manage multiple tasks, and complete projects on time.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in related fields.
  • Experience in hospital or medical office scheduling environments.
  • Experience with computerized scheduling systems.
  • Ability to interface effectively with physicians, departments, and third-party payers.
