Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year working in medical insurance or healthcare field; prior surgery scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Tenet policies and HIPAA compliance.
• Triage surgical candidates as required by physicians.
• Verify insurance information in the electronic system and obtain necessary authorizations prior to surgery.
• Work with hospital personnel to obtain information for surgery scheduling.
• Educate patients about planned surgery.
• Provide assistance to administrative or clinical staff as needed, and other duties as assigned.
