Job summary

USPI Texas Precision Surgery Center in Corpus Christi is seeking a motivated Surgery Scheduler/Insurance Verifier to join our team. The role schedules surgical and related appointments, verifies benefits and eligibility, and enters patient information into the accounting system.

You will coordinate with doctors, anesthesia, and insurance carriers, call offices for authorizations, determine copays, and guide patients on out-of-pocket costs and payment options.

Qualifications

• High School education and/or equivalent.
• 2+ years direct experience scheduling surgeries.
• 2+ years experience in insurance verification and estimates.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries and coordinate between doctors, anesthesia, lab and carriers.
• Gather detailed patient information and enter into the patient accounting system.
• Verify insurance benefits and determine pre-certification requirements with carriers.
• Communicate with patients regarding out-of-pocket costs and post-insurance billing notes.
• Coordinate with doctors' offices and insurance carriers for authorizations.
