The Surgery Scheduler 2 (H) acts as a liaison between patients, staff, and physicians by scheduling and coordinating surgical and diagnostic procedures. It also oversees scheduling staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Core Job Functions:
  1. Obtains pre-authorizations for procedures as required by insurance.
  2. Produces and distributes surgical schedules to physicians and departments.
  3. Coordinates with patients, families, staff, and providers for scheduling surgeries, pre-op physicals, and tests.
  4. Works with hospitals and vendors for special cases.
  5. Suggests improvements for the scheduling process.
  6. Maintains electronic systems and resolves issues promptly.
  7. Ensures documentation supports accurate billing.
  8. Adheres to policies and safeguards assets.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Effective communication skills, attention to detail, discretion handling confidential info, ability to work independently or collaboratively, proficiency in Microsoft Office.
