Southern Ohio Medical Center seeks a Surgery Scheduling Coordinator to schedule cases for operating rooms, interventional radiology, and maternity C-sections, and to coordinate pre-operative anesthesia consults. The role also handles cardiac testing lab scheduling and ensures efficient use of resources.
You will resolve equipment, supplies, and staff conflicts, publish schedules, process patient charges, coordinate communication with surgeons’ offices, and maintain scheduling records.

Works under the supervision of the Peri-Operative Materials Manager/Computer Supervisor. The Surgery Scheduling Coordinator's primary job function is to schedule cases for the operating rooms, interventional radiology, C-sections for maternity, pre-operative anesthesia consults, special requests for anesthesia throughout the hospital in addition to cardiac testing lab and to ensure maximum utilization of resources. Resolves equipment, supplies, and staff conflicts prior to publishing schedules, and emails/faxes throughout the hospital twice daily. Processes patient charges in a complete, accurate and timely manner. Work with patient billing to make sure OR/Anesthesia/PACU charges are correct. Send previous days' patient and procedure information to surgeon's office. Enter call schedules for all services (OR/Anesthesia/CVOR) in both call systems. Maintains files of surgeons scheduling faxes for accuracy.
