Job summary

The CORE Institute is seeking an experienced Medical Office Scheduler to coordinate surgical schedules and related appointments in our Phoenix orthopedic practice. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care.

The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with EMR and practice-management systems. This on-site position emphasizes clear patient communication and cross-department

Qualifications

  • 1 year of medical office scheduling or 1–2 years administration experience, preferably in orthopedics.
  • Clinical experience (CNA, MA, EMT) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules surgeries within established timelines and manages pre- and post-operative appointments.
  • Maintains precise records in EMR and practice-management systems.
  • Communicates instructions clearly to patients and coordinates with all departments.
  • Ensures all cases are updated for edits, cancellations, or rescheduling.

Job description

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 1yearmedical office scheduling or 1-2 years administration experienceor clinical experience (CNA, MA, EMT), preferably in an orthopedic setting.
Essential Functions
  • Schedules surgeries within established timelines and creates all related pre- and post-operative appointments.
  • Establishes interdepartmental communication to ensuretimelyandaccuratescheduling
  • Maintains precise, organized records within the EMR and practice-management systems
  • Clearly communicates all clinical and surgical process instructions to patients.
  • Ensuresall systems and teams are updated with any edited, cancelled, or rescheduled cases
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS

Mustcommunicateprofessionallyand effectivelywith physicians, patients, andinternal departments

  • Adhere toestablishedscheduling timelines.
  • Possess exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail with strong follow-throughand ability tomaintainaccuraterecords and documentation.
KNOWLEDGE

Familiarity with medical terminology,theinsurance authorization process, and EMR systems is preferable

EDUCATION

High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred.
