Nemours is seeking a Surgery Scheduler in Jacksonville, FL to coordinate surgical procedures for assigned physicians. This role ensures accurate documentation, insurance pre-certifications, and timely scheduling with operating rooms and centers.
Strong communication and HIPAA compliance are essential for safe patient care. The ideal candidate will have Epic experience and a High School Diploma, with 6 months to 1 year of related scheduling experience.
This position is responsible for scheduling surgical procedures for assigned physician(s). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely collection and submission of necessary surgical documentation; coordinating with external operating rooms, ASCs, etc., to ensure patients are appropriately scheduled for surgeries and/or procedures.
High School Diploma
6 months to 1 year of job-related experience required.
Epic Experience required
Medical terminology preferred
Previous surgery scheduling experience preferred
