Livingston Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse in Surgery to provide direct and comprehensive nursing care for surgical patients in an acute care setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in collaboration with the team to ensure safe perioperative care.

The role requires strong clinical judgment, communication, and EMR proficiency, with a focus on patient safety and education across all ages. This on-site position supports a busy surgical service line.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• RN license in the state of practice (current).
• BLS certification within the facility policy timeframe.
• ACLS certification within timeframe.
• PALS certification within timeframe.
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Previous perioperative or surgical services experience strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Delivers patient-centered nursing care for surgical patients.
• Administers medications and treatments per policy.
• Documents all aspects of patient care clearly.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team and family.
• Coordinates with surgical and interdisciplinary teams for optimal care.
• Participates in transfers, discharge, and referrals as needed.
• Educates patients and families on procedures, recovery, and post‑operative care.
• Advocates for patients' physical and emotional well-being throughout the surgical experience.
