Job summary

ScionHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse - Surgery (RN-Surgery) to provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients in an acute care hospital setting. The RN-Surgery will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting care, coordinating with surgical teams, and educating patients and families on procedures and postoperative care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN preferred.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse - Surgery (RN-Surgery) provides direct and comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients within an acute care hospital setting. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN-Surgery assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes. This role supports surgical interventions across all age groups and ensures patient safety, comfort, and education throughout the perioperative process.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within time frame specified in facility policy)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required within time frame specified in facility policy)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required within timeframe specified in facility policy)

Experience

• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience preferred
• Previous perioperative or surgical services experience strongly preferred
