Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in SC.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required within facility policy timeframe.
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience; perioperative/surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers direct nursing care to surgical patients in accordance with standards of care and nursing process.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Documents all aspects of patient care clearly and accurately.
• Monitors patient condition and communicates with the healthcare team and family.
• Coordinates with surgical/interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Assists in patient transfer, discharge, and referrals as needed.
• Educates patients and families on procedures, recovery, and post-operative care.
• Advocates for patients’ physical and emotional well-being throughout the perioperative period.
