Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in sciences or related degree.
• 5 years experience in a hospital/medical environment and 1 year supervisory.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day research operations across a portfolio of clinical and translational research studies, ensuring projects comply with policies and regulations.
• Serves as the department's subject matter expert for research finance, including budgeting, invoicing, sponsor payments, and financial projections.
• Manages regulatory compliance for clinical research, including IRB submissions and protocol deviations.
• Functions as an experienced Clinical Trial Manager, overseeing start-up, activation, enrollment, monitoring, and closeout.
• Collaborates with investigators, staff, sponsors, CROs, and external partners to identify operational challenges and implement solutions.
• Develops and improves SOPs, workflows, QA initiatives, and research management processes.
• Monitors timelines, enrollment targets, deadlines, and financial performance, and acts on risks.
• Coordinates staffing needs and may supervise research personnel.
• Ensures regulatory compliance, fiscal stewardship, and operational efficiency.
• Provides guidance on institutional policies, sponsor requirements, and best practices.
• Generates reports for leadership to support planning and decision-making.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
