Job summary

MedVet is a fast-growing Emergency and Specialty provider with practices nationwide. We are looking for a collaborative and driven Surgery Veterinary Licensed Technician to join our clinical team.

This role supports patient care from intake to post-op, including preparing patients for surgery, maintaining records, and assisting with procedures. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license required.
• Prior veterinary experience required; surgery experience preferred.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, CRIs, unit conversions).
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to work extra hours when needed.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage appointments, obtain patient histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc
• Fill medications, enter charges and maintain accurate medical records, schedule appointments
• Create patient releases, navigate client conversations around treatment plans and financial obligations
• Prep patients for surgery, including shaving, scrubbing and positioning, assist with intubation and radiographs
• Proficiently perform blood draws and submit bloodwork
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete
• Opening, turning over and cleaning operating rooms, as well as cleaning instruments and wrapping packs

We are looking for:

Surgery Veterinary Licensed Technician

This position has an initial hiring range of $33.00 to $41.00 based off skills and experience.

What you’ll do:
