Job summary

The Lead Surgery Technician at MSPCA-Angell in Boston works closely with the Anesthesia and Surgery teams to provide leadership, guidance, and hands-on support in a fast-paced veterinary environment. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of certified veterinary technician experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a surgery specialty practice.
• VTS in surgery or Anesthesia and Analgesia preferred but not required.
• Cover letter showcasing writing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and leadership to the Surgery/Anesthesia unit staff, especially during emergencies and patient monitoring.
• Supervise, guide, and support all Anesthesia staff in patient care and unit operations.
• Provide continuing education to the surgical staff in collaboration with the supervisors.
• Oversee training for new and current employees and document progress with supervisors.
