Orthopedic Surgery - Hand opening in Waterloo, Iowa

Position Details:

• Full-time multi-specialty opportunity
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
• Call coverage with work/life balance
• 204 bed hospital, Level 3 trauma center with established Hospitalist team
• 12 bed ICU with intensivist
• Support from a full range of dedicated specialists and subspecialists
• Excellent OR access with experienced staff
• Ambulatory surgery center for outpatient procedures available
• Onsite physical therapy, full-scale diagnostic laboratory, and imaging services including MRI and CT
• Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities:

• Rewarding mix of outpatient, inpatient, and surgical procedures
• Flexible work week with built-in surgery days at hospital and ASC
• General orthopedic surgery with opportunities to develop sub-specialty interests
• Full range of clinical services including fracture management, total hips & knees, upper & lower extremities, trigger finger & carpal tunnel release
• In-office procedures including injections, casting, suture removal, and joint fluid withdrawal
• Ability to work as a team member to improve community health

Qualifications:

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Unrestricted medical license in Iowa
• Current and unrestricted authority to prescribe and administer medications as appropriate
• Eligible to work in the United States
