Job description

We are an established medical practice serving Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and the surrounding areas, specializing in evaluations for patients with swallowing disorders. We are currently seeking additional physicians to join our team. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, and we encourage physicians with various levels of experience to apply. During training, compensation will be provided.

The practice is part of a larger network with sister practices in New England and Texas.

Benefits include health coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, educational stipends, and a competitive annual income ranging from approximately $160,000 to $225,000 or more, based on volume, for a 4 to 5-day workweek. There are no weekend or night call responsibilities, and malpractice coverage (including tail coverage) is paid for by the practice. Over 19 years and more than 400,000 evaluations, we have not had any malpractice inquiries or actions.

Our mission at Midwest Dysphagia Consultants is to provide professional dysphagia consultations, including modified barium swallow studies, utilizing a mobile unit as shown on our website.

We serve various facilities, private offices, and homebound patients through requests from physicians and speech-language pathologists. These requests are managed by our office staff and are scheduled within 24 to 72 hours, with same-day scheduling when possible, depending on volume and location. We prioritize ensuring our staff is home between 4:00 and 5:00 PM daily.
