Job description

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center is seeking a Locum Trauma Surgeon.

1. Coverage Dates: ASAP until a full-time provider is hired.
2. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7 am - 4 pm; 3 weeknights per week, 4 pm - 7 am; Saturday/Sunday, 7 am - 7 am call.
3. Purpose: Covering gaps during recruitment of a full-time surgeon.
4. Practice Setting: Hospital
5. Average Trauma Cases per Day: 5
6. Trauma Level/Designation: Level 1 Trauma
7. Annual ER Volume: 80,000
8. Percentage of ED Patients Admitted: 35%
9. Total Beds: 617
10. EMR System: Epic
11. OR Staff: Full complement
12. Patient Demographics: Primarily adult and geriatric, with occasional pediatric/adolescent cases
13. Provider Location: Must be local; only mileage reimbursed

Procedures Required:

1. Trauma Cases (Adult and Geriatric)

4. Chest Tube Insertion

Laparoscopic Procedures:
