Job Opportunity: Orthopedic Surgeon

Join a vibrant healthcare facility located in Harlan, KY, where you will have the opportunity to focus on general orthopedics including total joints, fractures, carpal tunnels, and arthroscopies. This role provides a balanced practice setting with both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities. With a supportive clinic staff, you will enjoy a schedule of Monday to Friday, alongside on-call hours from 7 AM to 7 AM, with flexibility to discuss alternate working arrangements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality orthopedic care to patients, focusing on general orthopedics.
• Perform consultations, evaluations, and treatment plans for various orthopedic conditions.
• Engage in surgical procedures including total joints, fractures, and arthroscopies.
• Manage patient follow-up care post-surgery.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Participate in on-call duties, responding to patient needs within a 30-minute call response time.
• Utilize MediTech EMR system for patient documentation and management.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board eligible or board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Completion of an orthopedic fellowship.
• Strong clinical judgment and patient care skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Kentucky medical license (in process acceptable).
• Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery (required).
